Is it fair to say at this point Captain America #50 by Jurgens where Cap dies is no longer canon and rather a What If? of sorts. Since the death was never referred to ever again and he was just alive again and with it being so long ago and forgotten now, it doesn't benefit continuityIt was a story, so it happened.
Presumably, Cap escaped death. As he usually does.
